Over 120 bird species have been recorded in Ikh Nart, which Birdlife International designated as an 'Important Bird Area' (#MN041, criteria A1, A3) because of its population of threatened Lesser Kestrels and importance for migrating species. Below is a list of birds recorded in the reserve to-date.
